Economics, Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois, invites applications for a Tenure-Track, Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics beginning in August of the 2021-2022 academic year. The position is open to individuals trained in any field of economics. However, a candidate with research and teaching expertise in environmental economics, experimental/behavioral economics, the economics of inequality, or a closely related field is desired.In addition to teaching an upper-level course in that area of interest, the successful candidate will be expected to teach Principles of Economics and Intermediate Microeconomics. Augustana College is a selective private liberal arts and sciences college of approximately 2,500 students, including 26 percent first generation college students, 23 percent Pell Grant students, 24 percent students of color, and 12 percent international students.
