Position Overview: Advance Financial is recruiting for a Chief Economist to work directly with our owners and senior leadership team to shape the company’s ambitious growth plans. Specific responsibilities for the role will include:
- Develop and test a wide range of business hypotheses in partnership with the Data Analytics and Credit teams
- Apply economic theory to solve complex problems across our business including Retail, Credit Analysis, Underwriting, Fraud Identification, Product Design, Marketing, etc.
- Research, analyze, and summarize macroeconomic trends (GDP growth, Unemployment, Inflation, Fed Policy, etc.) that could impact our business and our customers
- Build economic models that support the company’s forecasting and planning processes
- Monitor relevant banking and payment technology changes such as Blockchain, AI, Digitization, and Big Data
