The Department of Economics and Business Economics at Aarhus University, Denmark, invites applications for a fixed term Assistant Professor position in the area of climate econometrics.
About the position: Applicants should have a PhD degree before taking up the position. The duration of the position is 3 years, with expected start date in September 2018. Depending on the qualifications of the candidate, a transformation of the position to a tenure-track assistant professor position for a period of 5 years is possible. The opening is established in the context of the project “Econometric Modeling of Climate Change,” funded by the Danish Council for Independent Research, and led by Professor Eric Hillebrand, Director CREATES. The applicant is expected to conduct research in the application of econometric methods to climate data. We offer favourable conditions regarding research facilities, data access, time devoted to research, travel support, etc. For non-Danish researchers favourable tax-schemes exist. The Department faculty is international and the working language is English. The Department is host to several research centres providing an active research environment with ample influx of visiting researchers. The Department of Economics and Business Economics services several undergraduate and Master-level programmes. The PhD programme has an annual intake of around 20-25 students. Major responsibilities include teaching of undergraduate and graduate students in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Econometrics and Logistics and research within those fields.
