The Economist III in the Financial Management Services section of ADOT stays apprised of these changes and uses this knowledge to forecast ADOT’s revenue sources. The Department is dependent on accurate revenue forecasting due to the limited availability of funds for projects in the Five-Year Transportation Facilities Construction Program. Will analyzes an array of economic, financial and statutory information.

Writes and explains complex financial and economic concepts that relate to transportation in a way that is organized and easy to understand. This includes creating visuals to convey data simply. This position draws on their technical expertise to delve into the details to discover and explain anomalies in the data.

Ideal Candidate will have a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in economics, mathematics, statistics, finance, business administration or a related field; Has a minimum of two years’ experience in economic, statistical, accounting or financial analysis and is familiar with financial and accounting systems. Understands statistical and analytical methods, econometric modeling and revenue forecasting. Possesses excellent skills in Microsoft Office 2010 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
