Voya Investment Management (Formerly ING Investment Management), an asset management firm managing over $200 billion in client assets, is seeking an Economic Strategist to join the Asset Allocation Team in the Multi-Asset Strategies and Solutions Group (MASS) in New York. The Asset Allocation team manages $30 billion in investment strategies across a global set of asset classes, with an objective to add value through tactical allocation across asset classes.

Job Responsibilities:
- Identify, monitor, and analyze, using an econometric skillset, the determinants of economic growth in developed and emerging countries.
- Apply economic insights to both existing asset class models and those under development used for tactical asset allocation decisions.
- Develop independent investment recommendations and market views across asset classes; contribute actionable tactical ideas in deliberations with colleagues.

Ideal candidates should possess an advanced degree in Economics or related field, with a PhD preferred. The Economic Strategist will have an investment orientation, with 8-10 years of experience on a portfolio management team preferred. Analytical ability with a particular emphasis on econometric skills applied within a macroeconomic framework is required. Excellent organizational skills and an ability to communicate investment ideas are also required.
