The Department of Business at Northwest Missouri State University is seeking applicants for a nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor of Economics to begin August 11, 2014. The position is responsible for teaching a twelve hour per trimester load (fall and spring trimesters). Courses include introductory economics, macroeconomic theory and additional undergraduate economics courses, and macroeconomics at the MBA level. The position is also responsible for advising students, undertaking research leading to publication in referred journals, and committee service at the department, college and university levels. ABD in Economics from an accredited institution and prior teaching experience at the college level are required. A PhD in Economics from an accredited institution is preferred.
