Albright College is seeking a tenure-track Academic Program Coordinator/Assistant Professor of Economics and Business to supervise and teach in its Degree Completion Program (DCP) and its traditional undergraduate program. This position provides a wonderful leadership opportunity for faculty interested in curriculum development and academic administration. Other ranks may be considered depending on experience.
The DCP is an accelerated baccalaureate program. Student cohorts meet once weekly in the evening completing the major portion of the program in approximately 24 months. The DCP is designed for adult students with at least two years of college experience and three years of work experience. The Academic Program Coordinator serves as the academic supervisor for Business Administration at all locations the DCP is offered and is responsible for a full range of academic tasks associated with the continued development, operation, and assessment of the program.
The teaching load for this position will require eight courses per academic year (two in the traditional undergraduate day program). The successful candidate should be qualified to teach Statistics and Production Management and be able to teach other business courses such as economics and finance at a variety of campus locations.
An earned doctorate in economics, statistics or finance is preferred, but related fields will be considered. Demonstrated excellence in teaching, engagement in scholarship, and service are essential for selection and advancement. Albright College values interdisciplinary approaches to teaching and faculty engagement in undergraduate research Full participation in the broader activities of the DCP, the Economics and Business Department and the College is also expected so academic administrative experience is a strong preference.
