The Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time sabbatical replacement position beginning Fall 2014. We seek candidates with teaching experience in principles, introductory statistics, and an area in applied macro- or microeconomics. We encourage applications from candidates who can offer a course(s) in economics that complements our business curriculum, such as managerial economics or entrepreneurial economics. The normal teaching load is two courses each quarter, with three quarters per academic year. A Ph.D. is preferred, but advanced ABDs considered. Candidates must demonstrate a genuine desire to teach and participate fully in a liberal arts environment that emphasizes close student-faculty interaction. Salary is competitive. Candidates must submit three letters of recommendation, a copy of graduate transcript, and a statement of teaching philosophy.
