Jobdescription:
Two postdoctoral positions of one year (once renewable) in international economics available:
* One funded by the Sandoz Family Foundation - Monique de Meuron Programme for Academic Promotion,
* the other one by the Swiss National Funds of Research for Development.
The first postdoctoral fellow will do research in the area of International Trade under the supervision of Professor Monika Mrazova. The second fellow will do research at the intersection of international trade and labor economics under the supervision of Professor Marcelo Olarreaga. They may also be involved in teaching a course in Microeconomics or in International Trade.
Criteria:
* Recent PhD in Economics (less than 3 years)
* Areas of expertise: International trade
* Promising publication record
* Excellent scientific writing
* Excellent and proficient IT skills, including advanced statistical software (e.g. Stata, R), or scientific computation (e.g. Matlab)
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work independently under limited supervision
* Languages: Excellent oral and written skills in English, knowledge of French would be an asset, but is not necessary
Starting date:
August 1st, 2014, or upon mutual agreement
Private law contract for 1 year, once renewable
