The USITC is an independent federal agency that provides objective economic assessments of government policies, commercial practices, and other issues related to international trade and investment. Economists in the Office of Economics (EC) work in multi-disciplinary teams to provide econometric, survey, and modeling expertise in USITC studies. The Research Division (RD) and the Country and Regional Analysis Division (CRD) are interested in meeting new or experienced Ph.D. economists with relevant interests at the ASSA meetings in Philadelphia. RD develops econometric and CGE trade models, advances and publishes research, and conducts large-scale surveys. CRD analyzes the impact of U.S. trade policy on foreign countries and regions; individuals with a special focus on India and Asia are strongly encouraged to apply.
